Lawyers’ Committee submits amicus brief to Supreme Court

by Jon Greenbaum

The Lawyers’ Committee submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in the Indiana Voter ID case today, Crawford v. Marion County Election Board (07-21) and Indiana Democratic Party v. Rokita, asking the Court to strike down the law as unconstitutional.

The brief stated:

The Indiana voter ID requirements at issue here-the most restrictive of their kind in the Nation- unnecessarily, and unjustifiably, abridge the right to vote.
